For each image in your folder the Image Processor will load the image, run the action that invokes Topaz DeNoise, and save the results in the JPEG folder. To correct the images in your folder bring up the Image Processor, check that it will run your IP_Topaz DeNoise AI action (step 4, Preferences), and press the Run button.
Then click the checkboxes to change the AI. Just leave your cursor over the Apply button and press when appropriate. Topaz DeNoise AI has a bulk editing option if you need to process several images. Otherwise it uses the same settings for all images. You must leave this enabled so that the correct settings are automatically applied to each image. When enabled the action will stop after loading the image and you can make changes. You'll notice the light gray square in the DeNoise action. Following that I have two IP actions, one to create black borders, and another to denoise images. Not really necessary, but makes things a bit more convenient. In the Actions palette, under Personal, I have created an action to call the Image Processor.
But there are many cases where our workflow does not allow this because, for example, the first step in our process may be using a non-destructive RAW editor such as Lightroom, Capture One, ACD See etc., etc. Steps 2 and 3, combined, will save results under Output\JPEG. But the optimum way to to remove noise using DeNoise AI is using the DeNoise Model with a RAW file of the image as input. That is why, in step 1, I select images from this folder. Go to File > Plug-in Extras > Process with Topaz Photo AI. Then I run DxO PhotoLab I save images to the Desktop Output folder. To use the plugin and maximize your RAW image quality: Select your RAW image in Lightroom Classic. Click on Original so you can read the fine print! To edit an image with Lightroom processing as a TIF file in Topaz Photo AI, just right-click the image in Lightroom and use Edit In > Topaz Photo AI. If Topaz DeNoise AI is not listed then install the plug-in as follows. Open Photoshop, open an image, then choose Filter > Topaz Labs. Until they add this feature here is how you can do it if you have Photoshop.įirst open the standalone version of Topaz DeNoise AI, choose File > Preferences, and enable Auto-detect noise and set controls.
